The easy way to make a template for your shaped table top is to use lining paper, cover the whole table top with the paper this usually comes 610mm wide from any DIY store.

Use masking tape to join the paper together to overhang your table top by approx 50mm then quite simply run an edge of a pencil to make a rubbing.

This will give you an exact template of your table top for us to re-create in glass.
